- Finished! And I bet you wondered if I ever finished any of the gazillion projects I have started! 😂 #macramebabyswing #macramelove #macramemakers #macrame #macramemovement #macrameartist #macrameartI was so sure it would be a great day back in the sewing room LOL. I usually avoid using any machines when I’m sick because I hate making mistakes and ripping them out so for the past three days I avoided sewing these blocks… And today felt like the perfect day… I think I ripped out more today then I have in my whole 10 years of piecing 😳🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🙄BUT I do love these blocks! #ripit #frogging #froggingit #showmethemoda #moda #quilt #quiltdesign #christmascountdownbegins #thicket #quilt #quilting #spoonflowerfabric#sunflowers blocked in for this #coloredpencil #painting. . #sunflowerpainting #coloredpencilpaintingI think this NEEDS to be the subject for a colored pencil painting!Throw Back Thursday! I rediscovered this master silkscreen print in the garage... it goes back to 1970 and is my first multi-color-stencil silkscreen. I was 14 years old and this year was a turning point in my artistic life. Lonely and bored as teenagers can be in the middle of summer, I found a community art center called Noah’s Great Rainbow. It offered weaving, macrame and silkscreen and I dove right in. I was already doing macrame but was happy to learn to weave and combine it with macrame and to learn to use an x-acto knife for the first time! . I was told it was quite a feat to cut seven paper stencils and register them so well at that young age... I was just amazed that such an art existed! That “Peace Guy” as I named him, was a little white statue I owned. I loved the new challenge depicting him in all his detail into line art. Considering the decade, he was very popular and I gave them all away! This master is all I ended up keeping 😂 #peaceguy #peace #1970s #silkscreenart #silkscreenprinting #silkscreen #silkscreening #silkscreenprint #hippy #graficdesign #retro#art #printmaking #printdesign #printing #70s #70sart #graphicart #peacemanWhat a fun bunch of #flyinggeese #blocks waiting for the floral fabric to get here! . #showmethemoda #moda #quilt #quiltdesign #christmascountdownbegins
